Canal Fulton was formed out of the emergence of three communities along the Tuscarawas River, including Milan, West Fulton and Canal Fulton. The three merged in 1853, forming today’s Canal Fulton. The 110-mile Ohio and Erie Canal connects Canal Fulton to the rich heritages of Akron, Canton and Massillon. From Canal Fulton, residents and visitors may traverse the corridor via foot, canoes, kayaks and bikes.
